Switching from Notion for writers

A Notion-for-writers alternative with an AI that reads your drafts

Notion keeps your book notes in databases and pages. KNOW ME - SHOW ME keeps them in a vault you can ask questions of — and every answer ties back to your actual words.

Notion for writers vs KNOW ME - SHOW ME

Organization

Pages, databases and tags you design and maintain.

Four filing spaces — PUBLIC, PRIVATE, PROJECT, ADVISOR — and a powerful ASK layer on top.

Finding what you wrote

Search for keywords; you still have to read every result.

Ask a question and get an answer synthesized from the entries that matter, with citations.

Sources

You paste links and quotes; connections are manual.

Attach an entry to classics, quotes, art, podcasts or research and get cited grounding for your draft.

Output

Export pages to Markdown or PDF.

Generate a book, letter or report from any selection, download Word/PDF, or print a keepsake.

Collaboration

Share pages or workspaces with team members.

Share entries or PROJECT folders with family, co-authors or collaborators; private entries stay private.

Legacy

Nothing built in.

Future letters, digital executor, and inheritance for the people you choose.

From scattered notes to book draft

Writers often have years of scenes, character notes, research and journal entries spread across Notion pages. Import them here and the same ASK layer that answers journal questions now answers book questions: outline the MEMOIR folder, summarize the RESEARCH folder, or find every mention of a theme.

Common questions

Can I keep using Notion?

Yes. Import a copy, run both, and export from here whenever you need a draft or report.
